Halloween is almost as big as Mardi Gras in New Orleans–whether you're a kid or all grown up! Here are six fun activities for families.
Monster fun awaits at the city’s official Halloween parade, Krewe of Boo in the Boo Carré (of course). The event features scary-cool floats from Kern Studios, the premier float building organization in America. Dracula, the werewolf, Frankenstein…they’ll all be there. Put on your costume and yell “Throw me something, Monsta!” Because of closures on Canal Street as a result of the Hard Rock Hotel accident, the route has changed for 2019. Put on your Halloween costume at head to The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Halloween family concert. The fun starts at 2 p.m., but get there 45 minutes early for a chance to interact with their “ghastly and ghoulish musicians” and their instruments. Admission to LPO Family Concerts is FREE for children ages 15 and under. Learn more.
